Welcome to the Microsite Section of Online Borders! What is this section about? One of the aims of Online Borders is to encourage and assist local community and voluntary organisations within the Borders to access ICT training and to develop their own microsites (websites with their own identity, linked to Online Borders, which can be maintained and updated easily by the organisation). A number of groups have already taken advantage of this fantastic opportunity and, with the help of Online Borders, already have their own web sites. These websites can be found using the search box or the link on the right of this text. Who can apply? If you think your local community or voluntary group would benefit from a microsite, we would love to hear from you. First we ask that you consult our guidelines to see if your organisation meets our criteria. If you do, then please apply for a microsite using either our online application form or by printing off the hard copy form and returning it to us. Once we have received your completed form, it will be assessed and you will quickly learn if your application has been successful or not. If your group is successful you will receive the training and guidance you need to set up your own website. Microsites are not exclusive to voluntary organisations and community groups. If you feel that your organisation is in a position to offer content that would be of interest to people who live and work in the Scottish Borders, whether in this microsites section or in one of our other sections, please go ahead and fill out the application form so that we can contact you to discuss your plans in more detail.
