Some questions you may ask about Bowden’s Environmental Challenge Group!
WHO?

A group of about fifteen individuals with a variety of interests, skills, knowledge and passions who have agreed that our cultural, social, historical and environmental heritage is vital for our understanding of the way we live our lives in Bowden.
WHERE?
The Group meets in the Gallery of the Village Hall
WHAT?

What does the Group do? Well about 12 different projects are currently up and running namely,

Young People and Bowden, The Mills of Bowden, The WRI Social History Book, The Houses of Bowden, Flora and Fauna of Bowden, Bowden Website, The Curling Pond, Traditional Boundaries, Eco-congregational Project, War Memorial Project, Backyard Biodiversity,

· To create a sense of ownership of our history
· To record for future generations
· To bring the “lost” to the “found”
· To create a sense of village identity
· To answer questions such as who and why?
· BOWDEN DESERVES IT!

WHEN?

 

The Group meets about every two to three months. Notes of the meeting are posted on the notice boards. The meetings are open to anyone and all are invited.

HOW?

 

By producing Action Plans, appointing Project leads and looking at how projects can protect our current environments and exploring potential threats to our heritage.

 

IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU WISH TO BRING TO THE CHALLENGE, LET US KNOW!!

 

WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW PROJECTS—ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!
